Steps on Bangkok - I

Plan to make it a little bit more informative this time rather than just post pics and roughly telling what's going on this time. Share some information in case some of you all might need it in the future :-p

Where we stayed?

We stayed at Bangkok Loft Inn for our 4 days 3 nights Bangkok trip. Nice? Although is not a big hotel, but it is clean and everything you need is there. Overall, it is quite value as we spend only 1300 Baht including breakfast and it is just 5-10 mins walk away from WongWian Yai BTS station. It is better to take railway to Bangkok city centre as their traffic congestion can be compared to KL city. A map was given to us when we check in with all the hot attractions spot and public transport line and we just use that map during our trip.

The main course will be choose on your own. (Western style breakfast, porridge, chicken rice, salad... etc) and the rest are on buffet style (Drinks, fruits, toast, snacks.. etc..) I will say the variety are really not much. If you prefer to have your own breakfast, you can choose the accommodation excluded breakfast for 1100 baht per night.

Woww.... surprisingly there is a birthday cake for my mummy on her birthday!~ So warm~

Itinerary?

Day 1

We reached Bangkok kinda late on the first day around 3 p.m (Bkk time), and it took almost an hour to reach our hotel. We checked in at 4 p.m.

Depart from our hotel to Chatuchak Weekend market (จตุจักร). If you take BTS line, get off from Mo Chit station and if you take MRT line, get off from Chatuchak park.

It is open during the weekends. Really a lots of shops and stalls. Buy it if you think you like or else, you might not know how to get back to that stalls/shop again or it is kind of wasting time. And you will see a lots of street foods too.

After that, we took MRT from Chatuchak park and get off from Hualamphong station to China Town (กรุงเทพมหานคร). Around 15-20 mins walk from the MRT station to China Town.

China Town Bangkok China Town

A lots of street foods over there too. Shark fin soup stalls and seafood stalls especially. We sit down and try their Wantan Mee and Tongshui there instead =p

Day 2

We took taxi from our hotel depart around 8.30 a.m to Floating market. Cost 2000 Baht (Round way) excluding boat ticket. We bought the boat ticket 500 baht per person upon arrival. Quite a nice experience if you haven been there before. At least it is something that is different from Malaysia. The whole boat trip took around 1 and half hour.

We asked the taxi driver took us to Grand Palace instead of back hotel.

We planned to take taxi to Siam Square after that but sadly the taxi over there are so reluctant to take us there due to traffic congestion and some taxi offer us 40 Baht to take us there BUT there want to stop half way in 1 place (A shop/place that don't know sell what) and we refused. We knew that there is pier near there can reach the BTS station and we could go by BTS then. My parents are so reluctant to walk due to the hot weather. Hence, we asked the taxi driver took us there, but he fetch us somewhere else =.=" WTH... Luckily we still manage to back by boat and interchange BTS to Siam in the end.

We reached Siam Square (สยามสแควร์) and shop awhile at Siam Paragon there. For us, the Siam Paragon are more like KLCC, selling all those high end stuffs. You will see those very very high end branded stuffs over there. Not much things to shop though, spend 1 hour is pretty much d. There are quite a lots of restaurant located at Ground Floor though. We had our dinner there, cravings for Thai Food.

Have a walk to visit Erawan Shrine - A very famous four face Buddha at Bangkok. It is just beside the main road and you can see it near the Central World shopping Centre. It is near the Chitlom BTS station.

We see the time are still early around 7.30p.m. So, we walked to MBK after that. It is located near the National Stadium station. We are so regret that choose to walked instead of taking the sky train. So damn tired after been walking for one whole day non stop. It is a shopping centre, or maybe I say it this way, it is more like Sungei Wang feel. Got a section selling cheap stuffs, quite big, got a few row. But don't be shock if you see the stuffs they are selling are mostly repeated for every few stalls. We didn't walk much though, just shop for awhile. Can't wait to go back as we are really super tired. My leg don't feel like wanna walk at all. =.="

[To be continue.......................]
